  • Great Horned Owls nest in many places, but they sometimes choose broken off arms of saguaro cactus in Arizona. That is where these two little puffballs were. Two weeks before fledging the nest, you can finally see them growing into their adult plumage and facial features. Darcy is careful not to stay too long at the nest, so the parents or owlets don't get upset. After only taking a few photos within five minutes, one owlet peeked down and gave the look of, "Are you about done?"
