Do you love to color? I am by no means a pro, but I do enjoy it. Whether it's watercolors, Distressed Inks, Oxide Inks, or Copic markers, it makes no difference to me. The process of stamping an outline and bringing it to life with color is so satisfying.
Sometimes when I'm lying awake at night, solving the world's problems, I do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of Pinterest. What a treasure trove of inspiration! I stumbled across Stamping Bella during my scrolling and found The Walrus, The Polar Bear, and The Penguin. My immediate reaction was, "Awe, I want to color that!"
An order was placed, and within days, Bundle Girl in several forms, and these adorable critters were in my studio. I should say here that Stamping Bella is not a sponsor, nor do I know anyone that works there. However, they have a nice portion of my checking account now, so I should be on their Christmas Nice List.
I stamped the image onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb. smooth card-stock with Versa-fine Black Ink. Next, I added Clear Wow fine embossing powder and heat set it.
I colored the animals with Copic markers; unfortunately, I neglected to note the numbers I used. I will work on that for future posts!
This set had a coordinating die, and the stamp included the sentiment. I used the die to cut the trio out of craft foam, glued it to the colored/die-cut image, and added Ranger Glossy Accents to the eyes to bring them to life.
Next, I grabbed Hero Arts, Hero Hues Kraft paper cut to 4.25 x 5.5 inch, and die-cut Concord & 9th's Swirls to add a chill to the card. Once the Glossy Accents dried, I added the animals to the swirls, added a Collections brown cardstock border, and finally completed the project by adding it to a cream-colored Recollections pre-cut card.
I couldn't decide which sentiment to add to the inside, so I am letting you choose!
Embossed in the same process, I framed Warmest Wishes, Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and Thank You, added once you make your choice! A fun project to pass the Covid time! I hope you enjoy sending it to that someone special in your life!
